This oil painting is part of a challenge on Wet Canvas. Each month we do a landscape from the photos posted. This is the one I chose. I liked all the greens and water.

I painted the Egret in oils from a photo taken by my painting buddy. She has a better camera than I .. We were at Shangri-La in Orange,Texas. They have a rookery there  and the Egrets were everywhere.  I loved how this one was preening his feathers and looking really big. He is available for purchase.

This green apple is part of the Challenge on DailyPaintworks. We were to pare the apple down with as few strokes as possible and still have all the values.  I hope I have done that. I painted what I saw.

This is another of my magnolia paintings. It is done from real life.  I love to paint magnolias. I have 2 trees in our yard. I paint magnolias often.

 This was the mountains in the Santa Elena Canyon.  I hope I have done it justice. It was massive and the bugs were horrible..

I was standing in the river bed of the Rio Grande River. The water was very low and just magnificent.  Where to begin?   We had such a lovely time and did lots of paintings.

This is the Mesa that was in the basin at Big Bend.  It is done in oils on a luan hardboard panel.

This old mission was part of a movie set for several movies  from 1993--2000.  Great place in Big Bend for painting outdoors. There were several painters from the Outdoor Painters Society painting on the movie set. WE had a great time.
