Plein Air LoQuat Tree by Barbara Haviland

I painted my view of my porch with the lights hitting the LoQuat tree. I had a very enjoyable morning painting outside. The painting is done with oils and measures 8"x8".

Bluebird is done in oils and is very realistic. I find that I like painting birds.  OH well, I love to paint anything.   LOL

The pelican is done on a gallery wrap canvas and was done with a knife. I have lots of textures with the paint.  The sides complete the paintiang. It is available here.  We are so lucky to have these lovely birds to watch where I live. The background is done with Ultramarine Blue,Cobalt Blue, and Cereleun Blue + white.  I used blues and greys for the bird.
